Useful Bus Routes

These are the major bus routes that connect Singapore's major points of interest. Many of the services from the Orchard Road area actually leave from Penang Road or Somerset Road.

#2 passes along Eu Tong Sen Street (in Chinatown) and Victoria Street (past the Arab Quarter) en route to Changi Prison and Changi Village.

#7 runs along Orchard Road, Bras Basah Road and Victoria Street; its return journey takes in North Bridge Road, Stamford Road, Penang Road and Somerset Road en route to Holland Village.

#14 takes in Orchard Road and Bras Basah Road, then heads east through Geylang and beyond - alight when you cross Tanjong Katong Road for Big Splash; stay on until Bedok South Avenue 1 for the Europa Sailing Center.

#16 passes down from Orchard Road and Bras Basah Road, before heading east for Changi Airport; returns via Stamford Road and skirts below Orchard Road.

#16e
runs from Orchard Road and Bras Basah Road to the airport (6-9 am), and from the airport to Stamford, Penang and Somerset roads (5-8 p.m.).

#51 travels along North Bridge Road and South Bridge Road en route to Haw Par Villa.

#65 terminates at the World Trade Center, after passing down Jalan Besar, Bencoolen Street, Penang Road and Somerset Road.

#97 runs along Stamford Road to Little India, then on to Upper Serangoon Road; returns via Bencoolen Street and Collyer Quay.

#103 runs between New Bridge Road Terminal (Chinatown) and Serangoon Road (Little India).

#105 runs along Stevens Road and Scotts Road on its way to Holland Road (for Holland Village).

#124 connects Scotts Road, Orchard Road and North Bridge Road with South Bridge Road, Upper Cross Street and New Bridge Road in Chinatown; in the opposite direction, travels along Eu Tong Sen Street, Hill Street, Stamford Road and Somerset Road.

#139 heads past Tai Gin Road, via Dhoby Ghaut, Selegie Road, Serangoon Road and Balestier Road.

#167 passes down Scotts Road, Orchard Road and Bras Basah Road, Collyer Quay, Shenton Way and Neil Road (for Chinatown).

#170 starts at the Ban San Terminal at the northern end of Queen Street, passing Bukit Timah Nature Reserve and Kranji War Cemetery on its way to JB in Malaysia.

#190 is the most direct service between Orchard Road and Chinatown, via Scotts Road, Orchard Road, Bras Basah Road, Victoria Street, Hill Street and New Bridge Road; returns via Eu Tong Sen Street, Hill Street, Stamford Road, Penang Road, Somerset Road and Scotts Road.
